my first photo shoot

Here I am with all my aunts and uncle... four generations of Lewis men (I am the first great-grandchild to have the last name Lewis!)... and here's mom's favorite of dad and me

Earlier this summer when we were in Durango with all the Lewis's (39 to be exact!) we had a photographer come and take LOTS of pictures! These are a few of my favorites...

ouch!

So, much to my parent's dismay, I woke up at 4am this morning because I had this wierd, painful feeling in my mouth. It hurt really badly! I was crying and couldn't even fall back asleep even though I was soooooo tired. Dad finally got me calmed down at 6am, and told me not to worry because it was just the early stages of getting teeth.

Teeth? What are those? Dad says I don't need them yet, but eventually I'll want to eat lots of different foods and my teeth will help me do that. Sounds fun, but right now it hurts! I hope it doesn't hurt for too long because I like to sleep. At least I get to take naps during the day... I wonder if mom and dad ever nap?

family fun!

On Tuesday night we went up to Nederland to visit my Great Aunt Sally and Great Uncle Tom, and the best part was I got to meet my Cousin Bob for the first time! He has a cool beard that I was quite interested in touching... maybe I'll have a beard some day!

Here I am hangin' out at my grandparents house! They have a pool, a swing, and lots of great toys! I love it! It's been so hot in Denver and, unlike at my house, Grandeb and Grandpa Sam have air conditioning!

New Adventures!

So, this is crazy, but mom and dad just told me some exciting news... we are moving! I know, it's totally out of the blue- I just got used to my nursery! But, everyone is really excited- mom and dad have told me it's a really unique opportunity. Basically, from what I can understand, a family who lives in the community where mom and dad do YL bought the house next door to theirs. They want a young family to move in who has a vision for using the house for lots of ministry specifically in that community. Since mom and dad have been doing YL at Kent for 5 years and know lots of kids and families in the same community, it was the perfect fit! The family next door is Buzz and Cathy Matthews and their twin 7th graders- Will and Emily.I am pretty excited because we will live by lots more fun people including a really sweet community called The Downing House. You can ask mom and dad more about it... I don't know all the details. But, check out these pictures of the new house- it has a pool and a tree house! A kid's dream!!!

My 5 month birthday!

Yep, that's right, I'm 5 months old now. Mom and Dad can't believe it- they keep saying "time flies!" Not sure what that means... Anyway, every month mom puts me in the same chair with a different outfit and takes a million pictures of me to document my growth each month. I try to cooperate... Here's the best picture from yesterday!

Summer Fun!

Here I am with Liz & Shannon- mom's friends from Kent.

These are my cousins- Michael, Meg, and Brandon. We got to hang out in Durango!
I thoroughly enjoyed my first boat ride on Lake Dillon over 4th of July!
I love my dad! Here we are at lunch at the Dillon Marina!

Just to catch you up a bit, here's what we've been up to this summer... a family reunion in Durango, trips to Keystone with the fam, hangin' out with GranDeb and Grandpa Sam, and just chillin' in Denver. Mom and Dad aren't going to camp this summer, so we get to hang out in Denver lots! I have also loved meeting all their friends from Kent- they are so cool! So, check out these pictures from our fun summer!

Entering the Blogosphere...

I can't believe it, but mom finally decided we could start a blog! Apparently she wanted a place to share pictures of me as I grow up! I said, "ok, but only if I get to write the posts". She quickly agreed, so off we go! Don't expect me to write daily, or even weekly, but when I get time (between naps, burps, eating my rice cereal, and playing) I'll be sure to keep you updated on life at the Lewis house!
