Get excited because...

...there's only 6 days until CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!! Yep, I'm pretty excited about it. Every morning, this is my routine:

• get up before everyone else and make just enough noise that mommy wakes up too


• come downstairs before my alarm goes off and see if I can join in mommy's "mommy time"- she loves that!


• beeline for the kitchen to eat my advent calendar chocolate-why wait until after lunch or dinner? start your day off right with a small piece of heaven


• tear off a paper ring from the Christmas-countdown I made at church


• annouce to the family how many days until CHRISTMAS!

Ok, now that you've got the gist of it, here are a few pictures of what we've been up to lately...they are in reverse order but I'm too lazy to change the pictures so you'll have to make do...

Kolby LOVES her books and will read anytime, anywhere...this was today after her bath.

Kolby is a crazy woman and shut herself in Deac's crate on Saturday- we stayed in our jammies until lunch!

Kolby spent about 15 minutes last week walking around in heels...they aren't actually Mommy's, she borrowed them from Kiki for a party. Looks like they're about to belong to Kolby if we're not careful.

Yep, here I am, finally! I wasn't lovin' the "let's sing Christmas carols for all the moms in MOPS" last week...guess it's time to head back to music class in January to get my singing voice back!

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been kinda slack on blogging lately...lots going on! Mom and Dad recently got iphones...yeah, they think they're pretty cool (what they don't know is that in a few years I'll be running circles around their tech knowledge!). Anyway, it's been cramping my style a bit because they want to take pictures of EVERYTHING! And, then they forget to put the pictures on the computer for me to use here.

Anyhoo...here's some shots from our recent trip to California (so fun!), "camping" at Brooks' house, and playing Santa this morning at home!

"Heavy"

Lots has happened in the last week, and I'm pretty busy eating Halloween candy now, so here's a quick rundown...

It snowed last week so we played outside! Kolby- not a huge fan. Meanwhile, Mommy & I built a snowman, snow fort, and Daddy & I shoveled (my fav!)

Last night was Halloween so we headed to Brooks' house! I was a puppy (my mom's costume that Debby made her!), and Kolby was Piglet. Kolby kept saying "treat", "thank you", and "heavy"- as she got more and more candy, the pumpkin got heavy I guess. YUM- I LOVE CANDY!

Here's our fam all dressed up- Daddy was some funny looking guy named "Goose" from an old movie (Mommy said he looked good), and you can't really tell, but Mommy was "Super Mom"- she had a superman shirt, an apron, and her work out clothes. She claimed with that outfit she could "do it all!". She is pretty super...

Surfboards, Pumpkins, & Leaves, Oh My!

Here's what we've been up to the last few weeks...

On the coldest day yet this fall, Brooks and I decided it was time for the beach! Surf's Up Dude!

Last weekend we wanted to watch football- Mommy keeps saying "Tebow! Tebow!"-so we had dinner in the family room...Kolby is such a big girl, she gets to sit at the table with me!

Someone put pumpkins on our front porch last week- thank you!-and Kolby keeps trying to carry them while saying "heavy!"

And, yesterday, I led our family in one of my favorite projects- sweeping the back patio! This time we swept the leaves into a pile for Kolby and me to play in, yipee!

Aunt Katy Got Married!!!

Last weekend our Aunt Katy got married to Aaron! Yipee! Our whole family got to be in the wedding, AND we each got to wear a different costume (yep, that's what I called the wedding outfits, deal with it). Here are some pictures...

at first, Kolby wasn't so sure about this whole "flower girl" thing...but didn't she look cute?

more summer fun...

Ok, so I have been pretty busy since we got home from camp- whew! Summer is so fun! Here's what I've been up to...

• swim lessons- yep, i like getting my head wet now! i can jump in (even off the diving board!) without anyone catching me, and I can swim under water! i use my reaching arms and digging arms plus lots of kicks to swim to the side!


• camp hickey- our fun friends from YL (Clare, Julia, & Kathleen Hickey) do a camp each summer and i was old enough to go this year! we made bouncy balls, tie-dyed shirts, went on a scavenger hunt, and even did a slip-n-slide


• keystone- we went up to keystone last weekend and rode the gondola up to the top of the ski mountain! and, guess what? we took Deac in the gondola with us! crazy!

Last week Kolby accidentally hit Mommy in the eye with a block- Mommy had a black eye for a week!

More fun at camp...sweet views, Kolby working hard and giving a toast to July 4th, and Kolby & me being silly in her bed!

A horse named...

SAM!!! This week at camp they did horse rides for the little kids like me! We got there and the horse was named Sam- just like Dida! I got to pet him, feed him sugar cubes (that's a horse's favorite treat!) and then Mommy and I went for a ride! Our last week at camp they do it again and we're going to take Kolby too!

ok, so mommy and daddy wish i didn't get up so early, but today we were in for a real treat at 6:30am! mommy was gonna go ride her bike, but right when she left she came back to get me because there was a MOOSE in the parking lot! then, when we went out to see it, we found out there were 2! mommy followed them around camp on her bike and the 2nd picture is of the moose at the front door of the adult guest lodge- CRAZY!

the other pictures are kolby and me in the pool (it's finally warm enough to swim!) and me with my friend Elia watching a movie and pretending to sleep...what a fun week!

Day 1 of...summer camp?

Well, when we woke up on our first day at camp, it felt more like Snow Camp...this is what we woke up to on June 19th in Colorado...SNOW!!! We made the most of it, though, and later it turned to rain. But, now, a couple days later it is sunny and hot!

So far, I am LOVING camp! I have a new friend named Elia (she's 4), and I love being here! I have a sandbox (aka building site) to dig in, we swam in the pool today, and I even got to go to club this morning!

Yesterday we saw a rodeo with lots of horses too! I am riding my bike all around camp and having a blast!

I'll try to keep putting up pictures, but there's just so much to do here!

Breakfast in our jammies...we eat breakfast in our "cabin", and usually eat lunch/dinner in the dining hall- it's so fun because there is always music!

First Swim of the Summer!

Yesterday it was 90 and time for a swim! Our big pool isn't ready yet, so I filled up the small pool right outside on the patio! I love a good project...

Kolby and I had fun swimming until it got too windy. Dad said I looked like an alien with the goggles on... I'll let you be the judge.

Birthdays & Bunnies!

Happy Easter Everybody! Hope you had fun hunting for eggs and eating candy like we did! And, I hope you got some construction machines in your eggs like I did- thanks Debby!

Before I get to Easter pictures, though, on Saturday we had a birthday party for the babies (who aren't really babies anymore!) at River's house! They had fun eating cupcakes and getting chocolate all over!

Now, on to our Easter celebration! As usual, we had a BIG party with lots of family & friends- we hunted for eggs (we were still finding them in the backyard today!), played silly "Minute to Win It" games, and ate lots of yummy food!
